Polk County Museum
The Historical Society of Polk County, Missouri owns and operates the Polk County Museum, located in Bolivar, Missouri.
Our ongoing goal is to preserve, promote and protect the documents and artifacts that provide a glimpse into the rich history of our county.
Historical Society
Membership in the Historical Society is available to all. Membership is $15.00 per year. Please refer to the Museum Membership page for more information.
Membership provides free admission to the museum and receipt of the Society’s newsletter, which is printed five times per year.
Public meetings are held on the 4th Thursday night of March, May, July, and September at 7:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room at the Museum.
There is a featured speaker at each of our meetings.
November’s meeting occurs at a local restaurant. The public is welcome to attend all meetings.
Active membership is vital to the continued work of the Society and the Museum. The Historical Society is a non-profit organization. For more information, please email polk.co.mo.history@gmail.com.
